How is Arthritis Treated?
Arthritis is a simple condition. It is the degeneration of the lining of the joint. Often times, the pain starts gradually and builds over time. This leads to decreased range of motion and loss of ability to move the joints. We treat this loss of range of motion first by performing manual therapy and massage around the joint to increased motion. Often times we can get improvements in range of motion in the first visit of physical therapy.

Once we have improved the range of motion we work to restrengthen the muscles surrounding the joint so that you can get back to the activities you love. We have specialized equipment and training to help maximize your strength and improve healing.

We also use movement retraining to help shift force away from painful joints and help you regain function.
