Our Renton physical therapist Dr.Tony Trinh graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, BC). Upon graduation, he worked as a medical assistant in a physical medicine and rehabilitation office. His love of sports led him to obtain his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In order to pursue his passion for treating athletes and expand his knowledge, he completed the sports physical therapy residency program at the world renown Johns Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore, MD) and IMG Academy (Bradenton, FL).

Tony has experience treating athletes of all ages and abilities, from recreational athletes of all ages to elite level high school, collegiate, and professional athletes. Tony’s treatment philosophy is anchored in patient centered care with the goal of showing patients that they are resilient and adaptable. As an avid reviewer of the current research, Tony aims to provide his patients with the tools they need so that they can be active participants in their care. He places a strong emphasis on educating patients on their condition in a digestible manner and collaborates with them in order to develop a treatment plan tailored to achieving their goals.

As a Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialist, Tony has a particular interest in injury prevention, return to sport, and sports performance. Whether you are trying to get back to playing your sport at the highest level or are just trying to get out and enjoy all of the wonderful things that Pacific Northwest has to offer, Tony will work with you to get there. If you have a body, you are an athlete!

Tony loves the field of physical therapy because it allows him to help people get back to doing things that they enjoy. In his free time, Tony is an avid sports fan and enjoys staying active by working out, biking, hiking, camping, snowboarding, etc.

Tony is a currently practicing at our physical therapy Renton location.
