ABOUT

W. Zach SmitH, PT, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy | Exercise Scientist
Co-Owner of HIDEF Seattle

I founded HIDEF In 2019 with my partner Mitch Harb to bring a higher level sports physical therapy experience to the greater Seattle area.

As a lifelong competitive athlete and active person I saw the need for a place where active people can come for rehab.

Thats why we created HIDEF.

HIDEF where active people come to get better.

Now a little about me.

I specialize in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation and injury prevention as well as sports performance. I work with all levels of athletes including professional football, baseball, and basketball players as well as a variety of collegiate and high school athletes.

My approach is simple. I use a combination of manual therapy, corrective exercise, and resistance training to get people back to 100%.  I have a passion for educating people and helping them to understand and take control of their injury.

I grew up with a passion for movement, fitness, and athletics. I competed at a national level in track and field and was a multi-sport athlete through his childhood. I  received a scholarship for track and field from the University of New Mexico, and specialized in long jump, triple jump, and short sprints.

Through my athletic journey I personally overcome several serious injuries that required physical therapy for long periods. From these experiences I developed a strong passion for helping others return to and maintain peak physical health.

Your comeback starts here.
