ABOUT
Nyrene Buford, PT, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy
Director | Covington
Nyrene Buford has a long-standing passion for physical therapy, which began at a young age with her immersion in the worlds of basketball, track, and fitness. With a father who was a bodybuilder and basketball coach, she gained early exposure to movement-specific rehabilitation, which ultimately led her to the field of physical therapy.

During her college years, Nyrene developed a strong interest in weightlifting, participating in competitions and utilizing movement and load to manage her own injuries. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis in pre-physical therapy from Grand Canyon University, before completing a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree at Baylor University. Both institutions boast acclaimed athletic programs, allowing Nyrene to learn from and be mentored by leading researchers in physical therapy and sports rehab.

Her involvement in weightlifting and Crossfit has allowed her to best serve that specific community, helping individuals return to the activities they love. Her expertise in strength training enables her to assist a diverse range of clients, whether they are dealing with acute or chronic injuries and seeking to resume their favorite hobbies, activities, or sports.

Nyrene is deeply committed to helping others achieve their goals and takes pride in treating each patient as a valued teammate. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys being a social butterfly and embracing the beauty of her home state of Washington through hiking and running.
