BulletProof Your Knees

Ever had knee pain?

Yeah, me too.

Recently we did a seminar over at CrossFit Devotion (our partner gym) and walked people through the exercises that I commonly do for my knees.

Check out the video below for a full walk through.

Some key points to focus on:

  1. Avoid pushing through too much pain. The stoplight theory of pain is what we use to determine if we should push through or change up the movement. 0-2 pain is green light, 3-5 is yellow, and 6 and above is red.

  2. When you have pain, change the depth/ range of motion of the movement, change the tempo, or change the resistance. These are all the levers you can pull

  3. Be patient and progress slowly. A lot of knee pain is caused due to tendon injuries and tendons don't like fast progressions .
