ABOUT

ROSS OBERTEAN, PT, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Ross Obertean is an upstate New York native, who graduated from Ithaca College with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy and a Minor in Environmental Studies. From an early age, physical activity and being outdoors was strongly encouraged; Ross participated in Academy level soccer, ran indoor, and outdoor track in High School, eventually playing NCAA Division III soccer while earning his Bachelors in Health Studies.

In graduate school, Ross worked with a group of classmates to create a pre-season “prehab” program for a variety of Ithaca College’s club sport programs to better educate these athletes on injury prevention. Once graduating, while studying for his licensing exam, Ross worked at a run speciality shoe store, gaining extensive knowledge about running shoes, track/field spikes, and hiking boots.

Clinically, Ross has worked in several different outpatient orthopedic rehab settings, gaining experience with a wide variety of conditions. He enjoys keeping up to date with current research in order to provide best practice to efficiently and safely treat his patients. His passion for treatment has lead him to become certified in Dry Needling, allowing him to integrate this skill into his treatment.

Since moving to the Pacific North West, Ross has taken a strong interest in bouldering as well as continues to be active with recreational weightlifting and soccer. Otherwise, on Ross’s days off he enjoys building LEGO, visiting museums, and trying to find the next best food spots around Seattle.
